Better tomorrows start here

We spend over 90% of our lives in buildings. 38% of global CO₂ emissions come from buildings. 60% of the buildings that will exist by 2050 have not been built yet. These are the market realities we operate in right now, and they define a great commercial and environmental opportunity.

Hager does not need to pivot towards this opportunity. We are already in the centre of it. Our entire purpose is buildings, and buildings are where the energy transition must be delivered.

A strategic choice, not a slogan

In 2025, we sharpened our positioning around a simple conviction: better buildings create better tomorrows. Behind those words lies a deliberate strategic shift, firmly anchored in our vision to shape tomorrow’s electrical world. We are evolving from a product supplier into a solution partner for the intelligent electrification of buildings.

Our clear mission connects our established strengths in energy distribution and protection with the growing demand for energy management, digital services, and connected building solutions. It positions Hager where commercial and sustainability ambitions point in exactly the same direction.

This shift changes how we work with our customers. Electricians and installers remain at the heart of everything we do. But increasingly, we also work alongside architects, specifiers, system integrators, and facility managers who shape how buildings perform over their entire lifetime. Being a solution partner means being relevant to all of them.

Transforming how we serve and how we work

The biggest project we drove in 2025 was our operational transformation, built around two questions: how do we serve our customers better, and how do we make our own work life easier? On the customer side, we made ordering faster, simpler, and more transparent. Lead times are shorter, digital processing has become the norm, and environmental product data is now available for the vast majority of our portfolio. At Light + Building, we showed the breadth of what Hager can deliver today: a new wiring accessories system with 50% recycled content, a fully renewed e-mobility portfolio including our first bidirectional charging solution, and new digital tools for planning and commissioning. On the internal side, we simplified processes across functions, further strengthened the use of AI to improve planning accuracy, and continued investing in training for our teams and partners. These efforts belong together: when our people can work more effectively, our customers feel the difference.

Sustainability and commercial ambition are not pointing in different directions. At Hager, they are the same direction. That is what makes our position so strong.

Sustainability as a way of working

At Hager, sustainability shapes how we work. It is there when we source materials and choose suppliers. When we design products for longevity and circularity. When we manufacture with increasingly lower emissions and less waste. And when we bring solutions to market that help our customers reduce the environmental footprint of their buildings. The EcoVadis Platinum rating as well as the CDP A- rating are the outcome of sustainability being embedded in how this company operates, across every function and every market.

Ready for what comes next

Across 23 production sites and more than 100 markets, over 12.800 employees are delivering on this transformation every day. In the pages that follow, you will see what that looks like in practice: a stadium in Strasbourg powered by a locally rooted partnership, and energy management platforms that have helped reduce energy consumption by over one million megawatt-hours. Our position in the market, our close relationship with our customers, and the strength of our team give us a solid foundation for what comes next. I would like to thank all our employees, customers, and partners for their trust and commitment throughout this year. I look forward to what we will achieve together. Let’s make “Better buildings. Better tomorrows.” happen!
